About Me
Hello! I'm Purva. I love reading fictional books and roaming around the world in the hope of finding a scenery just as good as those in the books that I read. I'm crazy to learn new languages and observe various cultures. I'm also very much a cat person. :) I'm not a very nocturnal person, I don't like to stay outdoors a lot late into the night. :)
I'm not available to host these days because currently I'm living in France, I'm working as an assistant English teacher in a secondary school. I'll be back to India in May and then shall be able to host again!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing because I would like to meet the locals from the places that I visit, and this would also give me a good opportunity to share and talk a bit about my own Indian culture.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of poetry, in fact, I cannot end my day without having read at least one poem. I also like re-reading them, because each time I discover a new nuance in them.
I like pop music, and sometime even just calm instrumental music. But depends on my mood, really.
I love art in general and it often makes me cry. But I enjoy this kind of crying and pondering about the artist and his state of mind when he created his art. When I visit a new city, I would rather spend a day at its museums and historic places, than hang out on the streets, in pubs or bars till late night.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn about the travel experiences (good and bad ones) from my hosts. About the little things that they noticed in far away lands, things that would not be recognized by the native eye. Because this is the stuff that matters most when you step out to know the world, in my opinion.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my culture with the hosts, especially if they are not from India. And if they like spicy food, maybe I can cook some Indian dishes for them!
