Music, Movies, and Books

Used to read quite a bit of fiction specially mystery and crime but now read mostly about economics, finance and human behavior. As a kid was a huge fan of The Beatles and till a few yrs back was a rock addict but slowly becoming an EDM convert.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I were to pick one moment, I would choose a cycling trip in a village in Bali, Indonesia where in a high school courtyard I came across an idol of Saraswati (Hindu goddess of learning). Even though I was raised as a Hindu, I am an atheist and don't believe in god or anything supernatural I was awestruck.
Imagine being in a small village in middle of nowhere, 5000 miles from your country and coming across something which is a significant part of your culture and heritage!
Even though it didn't change my views pertaining to god(s), for a moment I felt like praying because the idea of a secular god / goddess, not connected to any particular religion but to learning and knowledge is alluring.
