Music, Movies, and Books
I have a deep love for the Bible and enjoy reading business books about entrepreneurial skills. Music is also a big part of my life; I appreciate jazz, blues, worship music, and classical music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing experience I had was traveling to Iraq during the war to preach the salvation found in Jesus. During this mission, I encountered a group of Muslims who were deeply devoted to Islam and the prophet Muhammad. After sharing my faith and beliefs with them, they became so enraged that they grabbed me, threatening to kill me.
At that moment, the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask a simple question: why did they love Muhammad so much that they were willing to kill me over it? They appreciated the question and spent about an hour explaining their love for Muhammad. Then, they asked me why I love Jesus.
I shared with them how the penalty for sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus. I explained that because of sin, I deserved to die, but Jesus took my sin upon Himself, became sin, and died in my place. Through faith in Him, I can have eternal life—that is why I love Jesus.
Remarkably, after hearing my story, they knelt with me and asked me to pray for them so they could also understand and experience the love of Jesus as I do. From wanting to kill me to becoming Christians, this transformation was the most amazing thing I have witnessed and been a part of.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hi, I'm Demian, a passionate pastor who loves sharing the word of God. I'm deeply dedicated to studying and teaching systematic theology, making complex ideas accessible and engaging.
One of my greatest joys is engaging with Discipleship Training Schools (DTS), where I get to witness and contribute to the spiritual growth of others. Whether through teaching, mentoring, or simply having meaningful conversations, I find immense fulfillment in guiding others on their faith journey.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, exploring new perspectives on theology, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. I'm here on Couchsurfing to meet new friends, exchange stories, and experience the world through the eyes of others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can offer the host is prayer and counseling if they are going through hard times. Additionally, I can extend an invitation to visit me in England, in the beautiful area of West Pennard, Glastonbury.
