ABOUT ME

I can be a really active person at times and other times I just want to stay home and waste time on pc games/series/internet browsing. I love traveling and meeting new people, I really enjoy taking up new sports and activities. I am always doing things last minute and most times I am late for appointments. I don't drink alcohol or coffee, and I don't smoke either.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I had the opportunity to be born. That said, I don't take it for granted, nor do I think it is pointless. I try to do as many things possible and to the full extend of my capabilities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I was living in Athens I hosted as often as possible. I hosted in total 6 couchsurfers in 2011 and I have hosted people in Aspra Spitia when I lived there, I think the number is over 20. I have been hosted in Toulouse, Ciudad Bolivar, Vienna, Graz, Gdansk through CS and the experience was awesome. I have also participated in meetings in Athens. I now have been living in Germany since 2013 where I have hosted a few people, though the location is not inviting for many, due to the distance from Hamburg. I now live in the Harz area with my partner.

Traveling, Horseback riding, Snowboarding, Whitewater Kayaking, Canyoning, Tango Argentino, Learning languages, Knitting, Ice skating/Roller skating, Weight Lifting, Animals, Training my dog and traveling with her if possible, Photography, Volleyball, Climbing.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I don't fixate on things I like much. Sure enough there are movies, songs or books that I like more than others but it all depends on the mood and stage of life I'm in.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Reached the Annapurna Base Camp at 4130m altitude. Visited Cape Verde and rappeled down a 250m waterfall. Visited Canaima National Park in Venezuela and saw the Tepuis and Kerepakupai Meru.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can share information about any of the hobbies I have referred to above. I have a very good command of the English language and would be willing to help anyone with that. I could explain how certain chemical and metallurgical processes work, even some mechanical engineering aspects, but unless you are like me I don't see who would want to hear about those things on their vacation.

I, personally, would like to learn about many things. Mostly I am interested in learning languages and practicing them with native speakers. Currently I am learning Portuguese and Russian.
Other people's experiences are always good feedback and educational.
