CURRENT MISSION
We're here, why not?!
ABOUT ME
After more than a year backpacking, I'm back at home in Perth, WA.
But before this, I was living and working in Japan for 3 years until April 2012. Was on the road, running around, visiting my friends, and came back in June 2013.
Travelling and relaxing are 2 things that I love, but my greatest passion would be cooking or watching people cook. Living in Japan was great in that I was able to meet people and learn about new foods from them. Like poutine and beaver tails from Canadians, Mexican food from Americans, and Indian food from Brits.
I personally feel that I don't need to know a lot about anything, but just a little bit about everything is fine. Makes conversation spontaneous and interesting when so many topics can be touched upon.
So me in summary, likes to chill, cook and just have a good chat over coffee...or wine :D
PHILOSOPHY
Cliche but...gotta try everything at least once in your life. Oh, and go hard or go home :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My hosts have all been great, and I in return, when I have the capability, will give back all the love I received.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Did a lot of surfing in the UK, in St Andrews, Newcastle, Liverpool, Cardiff, London, and had random sleepovers in the US and in Sweden. Also met up with a bunch of surfers in Bangkok for Songkran 2013. Was disappointed at the organiser who didn't show up, or gave info to the 20 odd of us who were involved. But it all still worked out.
Interests
Cooking (I mentioned that already didn't I?), eating, hiking, facebooking, shooting stuff (zombies and pics), karaoke, watching movies, sketching, swimming, canoeing/rafting, playing tennis, reading, chillaxing, not being bored, or be boring...
But if I was to choose, i think my faves would be cooking and eating. Having an oven in Japan definitely makes you the COOLEST kid in the hood. Cakes, cookies, lasagne, pies, WHATEVS! My love of eating is on par with my love of cooking. Food is the best way to learn about culture (I reckon).
