About Me
CURRENTLY SEMI-INACTIVE HERE ON CS. Please contact me via Warmshowers.
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to make the world a more livable place for all living and non-living(?) beings
ABOUT ME
Weird, happy, spontaneous, easy-going, enjoying life. Generally not stressing about anything. Life is so much more wonderful and awesome when you're a bit crazy :)
I just want to be able to take a leap to the other side of the globe if I feel like that. I love and respect the nature and often explore it on foot or by bicycle. You won't find me too often spending night life in clubs or such, but I like to visit those places sometimes too, although rarely. Prefer places where I can at least hear my own thoughts, such as cozy pubs.
..AND COUCH REQUESTS
When requesting for a couch, please do put some effort in your request so that I know you're not just after free accommodation. And, if you are multiple persons requesting a couch, please provide me with links to every person's completed CS profile. If such profiles don't exist yet, please complete them prior to sending a request. Thanks!
PHILOSOPHY
I really want to experience new and different things, places, people and cultures. The life is just way too short to be spent working indoors. Go outside and smell the fresh air, open your eyes, enjoy the world and go adventure! I don't want to plan too much in advance, but live spontaneously when possible and be open-minded to new chances!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Been a member since late 2007, and my all experiences have been utterly positive! I'm so happy to have found this awesome community - especially all the new great people I've met through CS :)
Interests
Doing sports in general, especially cycling (vintage bikes, road, mountain, DH, CX, fixed gear etc). Photography, playing the piano and keyboards, traveling, collecting stuff. Other interests include geography, green views, and promoting cycling and healthy lifestyle.
In my apartment, I've got maybe 7-17 bicycles depending on the day, and in addition also a piano from 1930. Yet I still might find some room for fellow CS'ers ;)
I also love the nature and love to explore it both by foot and by bicycle.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Metal, classical, jazz, ragtime, psychobilly, chillout, ebm, aggrotech - varies quite a lot :>
Some movies: Chaplin's Gold Rush, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Beetlejuice, Sauna, Ice Age, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Whilst this is CS, I have to mention The Hitchhiker's Guide by Douglas Adams, huh?-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling 623 kilometers in a row, alone, without sleeping. It took about 27 hours including breaks. Let's see whether I manage to improve from this, some day maybe :)
Update: I just recently cycled 610km in 24h (including breaks) with a gentlemen's upright single-speed bike from 1940's. Maybe that's an improvement?
Since the beginning of 2007, my bicycles have rolled more than 100 000 kilometers - more than twice around the planet. And many of those kilometers were off-road. Love.
Also, in 2016 I was invited to have a TEDx talk about cycling in Bratislava. That was one amazing experience! Google it and you will find the video in case you're interested :)
