About Me

CURRENT MISSION

keep on rockin in the free world

ABOUT ME

i'm a physics nerd who has an undying passion for music. i find ways to travel via any means possible when i don't have the money to actually travel, eg books, movies, music, etcetcetc. this was especially easy and awesome while working at a hostel in chicago. thanks to that and this website, i now find myself with friends all over this globe. hopefully someday soon, i will be living in another country pursuing a graduate degree in physics...i suppose i'll need to finish undergraduate before i can do that. the last job i had was a sushi chef. that was pretty awesome, however insane having to make 100 rolls by myself in under an hour during a rush got, i got to make myself whatever the hell i wanted! and now i can make sushi whenever, wherever (there's a supply of fresh fish)! i'm currently redoing my profile after years of inactivity while drinking a big glass of wine, this should be fun.

PHILOSOPHY

physics requires no philosophy.. meh mehmehmehhhehehhhh. actually, life is a wild ride, find whatever vessel makes it most enjoyable for you to ride that wave and carry you as high for as long as that crest will last, hopefully not crash landing, but gently gliding down to the soft, peaceful beach at the end of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i used to host when i lived in chicago. i surfed once in new orleans. hung out with tons of cats via other means thanks to couchsurfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

shitloads of fun! aside from all the fun of hosting folks and showing them around chicago, the new orleans surfing experience was amazing. my host was such a gracious lord as to find himself completely schnockered with us til 4am on a work night, taking us about the frenchman (a street in new orleans that everyone must see!), seeing a fantastic blues band at the Apple Barrel, wandering the streets til past sunrise, and never stopping the exploring, drinking, eating, laughing, enjoying.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

watched a fantastic sunset, while drinkin coconut rum, smoking a kahlua cigar on a pier off a campsite on the gulf side of key largo, as thunderstorms ripped across the southwestern florida coast.

backpacked europe for 3 weeks when i was 18.

drank whisky.

read all of Irvine Welsh's books in about 4 months!

solved the Schroedinger equation for the Hydrogen atom.

identified a pion from a particle collision.

i once ate a piece of cheese. the entire thing. it was half a pound.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can tell you some of the secrets of the universe. i'll tell you more as i finish more physics classes. i love cookin, so learnin/teachin that would be good. i've been a music leech for years, so if you ever want to know any music, i'll share, share with me if you know some good stuff too! and hell if you have anything intersting to teach me, well then teach me dammit! also, if you have any advice on artistic motivation, lemme at it! i've found my ability to learn with structure, but i still find it impossible to find motivation outside of a classroom.
