Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn bakery. Open a chocolate shop. Understand interconnections between wind power tubines and the power grid. And many other missions.
ABOUT ME
Part-time electrical engineer and part-time apple grower, I just came back from a 2-year, round-the-world trip.
I like a lot hiking, camping, learning languages, cycling, paragliding, fruits, vegetables and of course traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
This is still a work in progress. But I guess it will begin with something like "Life is long", meaning that one should not take age as an obstacle in imagining, realizing or rearranging projects in his life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a complete newbie when I created my profile, then I surfed a lot during a 2-year trip around the world, and now I host people from around the world. I expect the sufing and hosting to cycle like this FOREVER.
Interests
Hiking, camping, learning languages, cycling, paragliding, traveling, soccer, books (very cheap activity as I read very slowly). And many other things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: David Lynch (sometimes), A Clockwork Orange and Kubrick, Tim burton, the Coen brothers and Almodovar in general (although not necessarily in particular. So either movies that take you somewhere else or that require you to find where you are by yourself.
Books: 1984, Animal Farm. The Alchemist. Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Music: almost everything. But I have to admit that when I listen to R&B or Heavy metal, I take it rather ironically. If you are looking for something, I would recommend Karkwa, Malajub and Lhasa, from Quebec.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen a French woman in her 50's who was traveling by foot from Southern France to Bangkok. A South African also in his 50's crossing the Sahara desert on his bicycle. I can't wait to be 50 myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to question myself about the meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything, so I might enjoy sharing some theories about philosophy, but as I am far from being a philosopher that conversation would probably switch to something more related to my or your travel plans.
But I might be better sharing some knowledge about French, English or Italian languages. Or tree fruits growing.
I hosted a linguistics professor once, and noticed I was interested in learning about linguistics. I can also learn a lot about food in general.
