Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I found about this site on a newspaper article. Found it interesting, but didn´t log in. About 6 months later I logged in here and....WOW. I am stunned. This is the best site ever. Since I live in Brazil, I am quite far away from other countries and thus this makes it harder to participate. But I am planning tons of trips using this portal. It´s a major oportunity for those who are traveling alone and want to meet new people, learn about their culture.
And you can always stay at my house!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
42 hours with no sleep. I know I can go for more! Anyone want a challenge?

Hangover manual:
1)BEFORE the event/party/etc buy yourself a big coke (600 ml or more, 1.5L is ideal) and put it in the fridge;
2)When you get back home, try to remember to drink as much water as you can before going to bed (yeah, I know, this one is pretty hard to remember, but with experience you will be able to do it). Eating a post party snack can be good, but it´s dispensable;
3)When you wake up, drink at least 2 big glasses of water. After that, you can hit the coke!;
4)Take a good shower;
5)Eating: it´s VERY IMPORTANT to focus on fried and fatenning foods. Fast foods are a good choice. Pizza, deep fried anything....you know what I mean. For dessert: Chocolate, ice cream, etc and etc;
OBS: You can substitute water for Gatorade;
OBS2: If in Brazil, try to find "terêrê" (a tea-like leaf) and drink it as much as you can....
OBS3: Charlie Papazian, in his great book "The Joy of Homebrewing" said that taking a complex B vitamin would help, since alcohol is known to deplete our vitamin B complex storage. This vitamin is reponsible for the metabolism of sugars, lipids and carbohidrates.
