About Me
Hey Guys!
My name is Qahhar (pronounced Car-Ha). I'm from the sunny island of Singapore and would be travelling in Iran for 14 days. We have a very rough itinerary planned, travelling from Tehran to Western Iran (Mahal, Shanderman, Asalem) for hiking then to Kashan - Isfahan - Shiraz. I would be travelling with my girlfriend, Thea.
As I send couch requests to you, I really hope you would be able to accept my request because I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I would also, of course, share as much as I can about Singaporean culture and our multi racial society. We would also bring along small little Singaporean tokens as a gesture of appreciation to our hosts :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One word, people.
Couchsurfing is the best way to experience a new country, interact with the locals and experience their everyday life. Travelling is not just about taking picture of beautiful cities and gorgeous mountains. In my personal experience, the deepest memories of a country are molded by the people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Bruno Mars!! (But who doesn't like Bruno Mars? haha)
Movies: Anything Disney (Little Mermaid, Lion King, Beauty and the Best... anything and everything)
Books: Currently reading Iran Awakening by Shirin Ebadi.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To be honest, I have not done anything that would be remotely constituted as amazing unfortunately. But I have hitchhiked India/Nepal (hope that gives me a little credibility). I also have volunteered in orphanages and organic farms throughout Southeast Asia.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I would be open to teaching English and would love to converse with whomever that would like to practice.
Learn: I would like to learn as much as I can on the local history and customs.
Share: I would share as much as I can Singapore and our daily life and rituals. I hope to build a (hopefully) lasting connection with my hosts that we forget the host/surfer label and become friends :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Other than my (what I can only hope to be) interesting stories and conversations, I would also be bring along some tokens from my Singaporean homeland as a gesture of appreciation to my hosts :)
