About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find a couch and find fish a chips---not necessarily in that order

ABOUT ME

I enjoy my job as a teacher's aide. Most of my students are in fourth grade but I do have some third graders. I have a very active imagination. I love reading and writing stories and it takes up a significant portion of my time. I read almost constantly, no matter what. Books, articles, journals, newspapers, fanfiction...all of it. I also love to cook for my family and friends. Traveling is a passion of mines that I don't get to indulge in as much as I would like. I love all types of music. From folk and bluegrass to rock and reggae and everything in between. I am a pretty calm and almost collected person. I am a very family orientated person. I have very strong political and world views. I believe strongly in justice but also in personal and societal responsibility. I love to laugh and try new things. I have a really strange sense of humor and find almost anything funny in its own unique way.

PHILOSOPHY

Lol...are you sure you want to know?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I go to parties and I have fun. I talk about why fresh fruit in tropical islands makes everything else taste awful. I talk about whether it's art or pornography. I talk about the catch-22 of New Yorks diversity. And how hard it is when people can't see anything except the color of your skin. I talk about great bands, and amazing drinks, and even better people. I meet people just like me, from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was a epically wonderful house party at Joe Che's house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Cuba I was in a van that almost rolled off a cliff into a quarry about a thousand feet down. But I was able to pull the emergency break about two feet from the cliff thus avoiding death.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn how to cook a dish from every country and a drink from every country.
I can teach someone to knit or cook something really really random
