About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Write spectacularly. Not write the word, "spectacularly." That would not be much of a mission. Rather, write in a spectacular manner. I think you probably get it.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small, flattish midwestern city and have since lived all over the US--New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, rural Massachusetts--and spent a year in England. I'm currently taking advantage of being able to work from anywhere by shuttling back-and-forth between Philadelphia and New York as I decide where to settle, or rather, resettle. I also plan to do some traveling, camping, friend-visiting, and general poking about, with some sitting-on-my-ass mixed in.
Over the course of my career, I've been an aspiring philosophy professor, a videogame programmer, an Internet entrepreneur, and a vendor of cookies and lemonade. The cookies and lemonade business was lucrative but ended abruptly when our sole employee decided that my business partner/sister and I were old enough to bake our own cookies. Now I do freelance web development while I figure out how to stop doing freelance web development and write full time. In the meantime, I blog about politics, world affairs, religion, and whatever else piques my interest: http://dagblog.com.
PHILOSOPHY
Working on my manifesto. I will publish it in this little box once I've completed it.

Seriously: hiking, skiing, caneoing, reading, writing, politics, philosophy, history, drinking good beer and wine
