Overview
About Me
I am an editor-turned-marketing professional. I host couchsurfers from the great city of future in Shenzhen, sharing an apartment with my significant other. The apartment's got panoramic view of the lush green in Meilin Park, and you'll be greeted with sunrise and a good mood.
I do welcome all to visit and share with you about what I do (and I'd love to hear about your life adventures as well.)
If you are visiting Mainland China for the first time, a few things to prepare before crossing over:
1. Sign up for Alipay and register your bank card with them. You'll need Alipay (or Wechat pay but the verification process takes longer) practically everywhere for payment, public transport, taxis, etc.
2. Have a VPN service or load up on your data roaming so that you can still access most of the services that you are familiar with: Google/Youtube/Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp.
3. Use Apple Map for directions or, if you have a proper translator service, download AMAP for all transportation information and accurate POI information within Mainland China.
4. If you are arriving from Hong Kong, consider taking the high speed train to Futian station. It takes less than 20 minutes and is significantly easier than using MTR East Rail.
Pardon me for my low response rate because I do not check CS as often as I should have (partly because I have been blocked by the paywall for a while now). I have tried other platforms/communities as well but haven't had experiences on par with that of CS, despite it now being a paid service.
Let me know if I could be of any help though--other than accommodation as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to speak with people who master many languages. The vibe is real.
And I do love CSers who either drop me a well-versed reference or bring me some booze during or after their stay! (Just kidding. Come as you may--just pardon my late-night working habits.)
