Shamar - Boqueron is a very open-minded and gay-friendly neighborhood. Very nice Sunday sunset.
There are other places, but haven't go recently.
Must visit places are:
El Yunque (45 min driving from San Juan) and
Las Cavernas del Rio Camuy (Camuy River Caves) 1hr.
driving from San Juan.
Beaches
Flamingo, Culebra
Playa Sucia, Cabo Rojo / Same route to get to the lighthouse. Preferable to drive an SUV to get there.
