About Me

Before you read further.... (www.couchsurfing.com/people/tian-wong) Consider Tian one of your hosts as he might be around more than I am should you stay with us. He is equally awesome to hang out with and be hosted by.

I would consider myself a pretty easy going and relaxed person. Sometimes it gets me into a little trouble, but it's the only way to be for me.

I love making/listening to music, and live to play outside.

Some of the coolest people I've met have been through couchsurfing. I hope I can make a few people feel the same.

Also, a tip to you new surfers...Its always nice to toss in something specific about why you're choosing the person you are messaging as a potential person to stay with. Shows a little thoughtfulness.

PHILOSOPHY

...to live with love in my heart and spread it as best I can; To be open, caring, and kind to everyone around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I maximize my enjoyment as a traveller by learning about the places that im going to through interaction with locals. As a host, i try to show the city i live in through my personal lens and if I go somewhere else, I try to hook up with people that do the same thing. Its more fun that way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Went to Portland and ended up driving to the coast with a few other couch surfers. We had ice cream, squeaky cheese curds, and got to smell the Pacific ocean spray for the first time.

On another occasion, I ended up flying to Washington and climbed a glacier-covered mountain with some of my friends and a couch surfer we hosted here in Texas.

Even better than that; I now have friends all over the country because of couch surfing. Pretty rad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting with my brother in the middle of a pasture in Oregon witnessing a total solar eclipse. Seeing the suns atmosphere glow around the moon is a total "holy shit!" moment.

Watching my mom play a few rounds of paintball was also pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do basic motorcycle and car maintenance. As long as I don't have to break down the engine, I can probably tackle the issue. I know how to play guitar, but could definitely stand to learn more about music theory and any other instruments in general. I love to exercise and could probably offer fitness advice if someone needed it.

Colombia, Mexico, Peru, United States
