About Me

Sports addict
Actione taker
Art practicer

I crave for nature and knowledge. Born in a small but picturesque city, I had an intimate relation with my natural surroundings, which I consider the primary cause of my passion to conserve them. Now my career goal is to achieve a more sustainable and functional energy system that we could rely on . Also, the love for wisdom, from which philosophy derives, is my life-long commitment. Therefore I keep a habit to write my learning journal every day to reflect on my speculation. Things that I am learning or planning to learn cover, but not limit to, western civilization, the art history, political philosophy, nanotechnology and energy systems. I prefer to think deep and open my minds to various opinions. These two passions are what I found worth living with.

PHILOSOPHY

It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My last volunteered in a Sri Lanka disabled orphanage has had a more profound impact on who I am now than any other event in my life. Before I had lived in a world where I got answers only from books, experts and Internet. Yet when I went deep and actually involved myself in the context, everything changed. So I think meeting and talking to people is the best way to introspect yourself, to reflect your culture and to understand people's need. The CS is not a simple relationship of host and guest, instead it is a connection between people have common interests and share the same values. So I think it's a gate to a better self.

I was given so much during my trip, now I want to pass the baton of living and sharing to more people. Meanwhile I am still seeking, and expecting the day when the radiation of knowledge and humanity is sparkling in the starry sky.
