Overview
About Me
I have been running my own startup in home automation ("smart home" - basic idea is to control your electrical household on your mobile phone from anywhere on earth) for more than 2 years now.
Another passion of mine is travelling. I have been living in Singapore for 5 years, travelled to Germany, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and have been to Everest Base Camp in Nepal and definitely gonna come back for mountaineering (the plan is Mera Peak 6,700m in 2018) . Yes, I love hiking and climbing. My ambition is summiting Mount Everest in the next 10 years.
Besides, guitar, photography and motorbikes (cafe racer kind of thing) are my other hobbies.
You can take a look at my Facebook Profile: https://www.facebook.com/quan.nguyentrung
I like to travel solo because I love to make new local friends everywhere I've been to. I hope to be able to share valuable experiences and friendships while travelling and Couchsurifing :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I usually travel solo and I love making new local friends who would help me to blend in the local life, to meet people, to share stories, perspective about life, religions... and take photos or even make good short movies about that.
Therefore, I find Couchsurfing the perfect match for my travel style.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hike for 2 weeks and reach the Everest Base Camp. I bet I have interesting stories to keep you up all night. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
If you would like to know about home automation technology, I'm good at it. Also, I know about hiking and mountaineering gears, destinations...
I love to share about photography as well. Not only digital but also film photography. I always carry most of my cameras along on the trip so I could show you what i know about shooting photos.
I love sharing perspective about life and religion, especially Buddhism (though I am not an Buddhist). I can also show you my self-customized motorbikes (cafe racer, tracker, bobber).
And last but not least, maybe we can sing together on my clumsy guitar :).
What I would like to learn? Well, anything that is new to me. Yes, I'm knowledge and experience greedy. So anything that you are able to teach and share, believe me, I do appreciate every single bits and pieces.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I already filled in the Teach, Learn, Share above, to sum up:
Hiking and Mountaineering
Photography (digital and film)
Home automation technology (Internet of things)
Motorbikes
Life perspective
Religion
Music (I can play guitar in an amateur way)
Last but not least, stories.
