About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being content, knowing what I want to do, which is fairly hard to be honest.
ABOUT ME
- READ THE COUCH DESCRIPTION FIRST -
Really all about me?
Well then... My name is Valentin and I'm 21 years old, but that's stuff you can already read from my profile, I guess. I study social work and social management at the Fh-Joanneum in Graz, and i was on an Erasmus semester in Valencia recently. I am the lead guitarist of the heavy metal band "Rest In Fear" (which you should definitely check out;)) and apart from that I'm really into historical fencing (freaky, freaky stuff, fighting with swords and halberds and things like that).
I consider myself to be open-minded towards other people ideas or cultures, but of course this is my personal opinion about myself, you might have a different one. I like to find the similarities and correlations of things in life that, at first glance, seem absolutely different. I like differences in opinion and i love to discuss about random stuff, just for the sake of discussing, so to speak. I like to be philosophic at times (you might have noticed that.)
PHILOSOPHY
Life is about solving three questions: What do you want , what can you do and what do you need? - Ironically we seem to have the most difficulties in answering the first question.
If you wanna do something, do it. If you don't wanna do something, leave it to others.
"Grass" sounds kind of far-fetched. I think Earth-fur is more appropriate.
Knowledge means knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting tomatoes in a fruit salad.
The Shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.
Making up intelligent sentences really isn't that easy. I mean changing only one letter can urine the whole meaning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am mainly surfing, but i'd love to host people! I think Graz is just so far off the shot that no one ever comes to visit, which is a shame really. I miss getting request weekly like in valencia...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've spend one night in Prague with a couple of friends. (It was like this: Hey guys let's go to Prague! I've never been there and i heard Czech beer is awesome! Come on, it's only 500 Km, we'll be there by midnight!) Our host was so welcoming and friendly to pick us up at one a.m. in the worst snow storm ever, but sadly i can't find her on CS anymore.
Apart from that I spend about two weeks in Sweden because my brother moved there and he needed someone to help him carry his stuff. I always wanted to see Scandinavia in all it's beauty and it was one of the best trips of my life.
Since I've moved to Valencia, I hosted quite a lot of very nice and interesting people. I think I enjoy being hospitable quite as much as receiving hospitalities. It's like handing on all the niceness you received from one person to the next, like a niceness-exchange-hub.:)
Interests
Music. I mainly play and listen to progressive stuff and metal, but I'd consider myself quite open minded, so I try to check out new things from time to time...
Well, what else?

I play the guitar and I play it quite well (10 to 12 years experience) teaching German would be possible as well (although it's a hard language to learn)
And for the freaks among you, I've been learning how to handle a sword properly for the two years or so and could show you a trick or two...
