Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living and working in New York City exploring how to help everyone learn to think computationally.
ABOUT ME
I am a computer science educator -- professor in the Boston area and teaching at a high school in New York City. I love exploring, cooking, reading, relaxing, and meeting interesting people in new and exciting places.
Interests
Making. I run a makerspace that focuses on robotics and fiber. Projects around soft circuitry are particularly interesting to me.
Sodas, tinctures, and pre-prohibition era beverage/beverage culture. I love making extracts of all kinds and seasonal bitters.
I like the idea of learning languages, but I haven't been personally successful beyond English. That said, I am interested in the process of learning languages, being immersed in environments where I don't speak the language, and talking linguistics.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to love everything Bill Murray - films, sightings, art.
Beyond movies, music, and books, I'm a fan of television series like The Wire, Six Feet Under, and Battlestar Galactica.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran a study abroad program for college students in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll happily teach anyone the fundamentals of problem solving using a computer. If you want to learn to program, build an interactive website, etc., I can help.
