ABOUT ME
Foof. I'm rather useless at describing myself and seem to change this synopsis every couple of weeks :) Suppose that's because I'm constantly changing, one day I like ying, the next yang. Depends what mood I'm in really. I suppose one constant is that I'm rather a last minute type of person, so generally prefer hosting emergency requests or random invites. Another thing which is generally true is that I'm a bit of a homebody when on my own turf, a glass of wine over a chat is my ideal evening. When travelling I'm much the same, although my arm has been known to be twisted and some more festive evenings have resulted :D ^^
PHILOSOPHY
Live life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always up for coffee or a drink, and try to help out people who are travelling in my area where I can~be it hosting, just giving a few sight-seeing tips or just meeting up with surfers going by.
Create your own visitor map!
I'd appreciate it if you call me "La" when requesting a couch. It just shows me you've taken the time to read my profile. In addition, I believe in the reference system. To me, it allows prospective surfers and hosts to gauge someone's character. So please, if I do host you, it would be super if we leave one another references at the end to make CS more secure for everybody.

Interests
Campfires, a good night out on the town once in a while, geocaching, sunsets, reading, linguistics and languages, scuba diving (which I've never done but would love to!) photography, travel, geocaching, different cultures, festivals...oh how I love festivals! Music is a passion of mine, I can play quite a few instruments but have let my ability in most of them slide in the past couple of few years. I still love listening to music, and think there is nothing better than a festival. Sitting next to a river with your favourite band or just a guitar...a campfire (hehehe, I really do have a thing for campfires!), good company...ahhhhh :-)*heaven* oh, and did I mention Geocaching? ;D
A lot of my interests are also things I'm rather useless at, but would love to improve my skills: pool, cooking, snowboarding and rock climbing, hmmmmm, yip :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a romcom addict, what can I say. Hate to admit it but it's true. I love the stereotypical 'good movies' too: Fear and Loathing, Pulp Fiction so forth so forth. Books, books, books. I love reading, but tend to fall asleep after 3 pages every time so take a while to get through one. I'm a huge Eddie Izzard fan....I think he is a genius! I will definitely have to catch a show of his one day. I really love rock, all sorts, very heavy, soft. I like hip hop, reggae, very soft jazz, drum and bass, dubstep, some house, lounge..you name it, I'll try it out. Not a huge fan of pop, although Korean boy bands have definitely made it up onto the favourites list(no, that's not sarcastic at all). I'd actually almost say that they're changing my view on pop all out (although I'm not yet comfortable enough with this grueling realism to admit it fully).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built an igloo, or atleast aided in the process. I can't take full credit as the other participant probably contributed more than I did, but it was fun none the less :)
I've walked across from France to the opposite coast of Spain.
I hope to summit Kilimanjaro in December and am putting my all into accomplishing it. If not, I think it's pretty damn amazing that I'm trying :D UPDATE: Summited successfully :D Woooot wooooooo!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to read and write the Korean alphabet in minimal time :)
I want to learn to cook too, and to take better pictures.
I'd like to keep my Spanish level up now that I've left the country and chat a bit in Spanish if anyone is up for it. I allowed my Korean to deteriorate and regret it a lot.
