Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To follow my heart and passions in life
ABOUT ME
I want to follow my passion for the ocean and all marine life, especially marine mammals. My passions are ceteceans (killer whales, dolphins and all other types of whales) and seals (seal rehabilitation and rescue). I have been doing acoustic research on killer whales on the Northern Gulf Islands, in the inner passage of Vancouver Island (the best days of my life). I am now on the mainland and I am following the west coast of Canada and the US to observe unspoilt nature and wildlife. I love to cook, grow vegetables, read and gain as much knowledge as I can, meet interesting people and to wander and explore different places and camping.
PHILOSOPHY
To feel the fear and do it anyway with an open mind and allow life to unfold.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not yet hosted due to not having a place of my own, but so far I am having a really good experience surfing and I hope to meet up with other travellers in the UK and show them my home town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed in Vancouver and down the west coast of North America and met the most amazing people you could encounter.
Interests
Marine mammal research, nature, camping, reading, cooking, growing vegetables, meeting new and interesting people, hiking, travelling
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: East of Eden (John Steinbeck), On the Road (Jack Karouac), Twilight Saga (Stephanie Meyer), The Count of Montechristo (Alexanda Dumas, The Prophet (Kahil Kabrain)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done killer whale research and seal rehabilitation, as well as travelled along the west coast of North America where I wandered into the Redwoods, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Sequioa National Park and Kings Canyon. Hiking up to Angels Landing in Zion National Park was one of the most beautiful places on earth and walking through the Hoover Dam on an unofficial tour was a blast.
