Hi there! I grew up in China and have been living in the UK for almost 6 years.

Now I am studying philosophy, politics and economics at university in London and will be graduating soon.

I am also a language enthusiast, having been learning Spanish for many years and now moving on to loads of other languages. Not making much progress, but hopefully I'll get there one day )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always been amazed by how diverse our planet is. That is why I enjoy travelling and learning all about the cultures, the languages, the food, and, most of all, the people. I'd love to see how people live, what they like and listen to their stories.

Interests

I love learning languages, watching films and binging TV series overnight (I know, not a good habit...)

Playing with cats (I think I also like dogs but unfortunately haven't met as many dogs)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering at a charity that teaches people with disabilities how to ride a horse, where I worked with lovely people (lots of kids) and dozens of beautiful horses with all sorts of personalities...or horsenalities...?

Having lived in China for 17 years, I am fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Teochew (Hokkien). I would be glad to share these Chinese languages and my experiences with distinct regional cultures in China.

I'm also always happy to chat about politics and society and whatnot, and maybe complain about the state of the world together ))
