Hi,

I am Quentin, 27 yo Belgian. My native language is French and I also speak English. I am currently trying to start a small online business. Before that I spent a year in Bangkok working for a Tech/E-Commerce company. I graduated a few years ago with a degree in Finance/International Business.

I love to travel, I have spent a lot of times travelling in South East Asia and more recently across the US. I have also lived in Australia, England and France before/during my studies.

These last few years I have been travelling mostly with my long time girlfriend, Melanie. She is a 24 yo Belgian and is in her last year at Medical School.

I have not yet Couchsurfing but I have done some volunteering type of experiences. I did some HelpX in Australia, some WorkAway in Oregon a couple of year ago and will do a HouseSitting in Dallas this summer.

I love to meet and interact with people from different culture and background.

Although I love countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, my favorite place is definitely the US. I am planning to be back in the States this summer for about 3 months. My girlfriend Melanie is doing a medical internship at the Texas Medical Center in August. We are very much looking forward to it.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have a lot of "sharing/meeting" experiences of different kinds such as HelpX, WorkAway, TrustedHousitters, and AirBnB but I have not yet tried Couchsurfing.

The thing I like the most about travelling is meeting the locals and seeing/understanding/sharing their ways of life. Going to some places and staying in Hotel doesn't make sense for me. I am hoping Couchsurfing will allow me to meet tons of new people, develop new friendship and open my world even more.

My biggest interest in by far travelling and meeting new people !

I love being outside and doing activities such as hiking, camping, canoeing, etc. I really like the hot weather and settle in somewhere warm in a few years.

I did quite a bit of yoga (although I am still not very good at it), especially last year when I was in Bangkok. I did some Muay Thai as well, loved it!

I used to play basketball and follow the NBA quite closely. I also like new technology such as blockchain/cryptocurrency.

When I was 18 years old, I saved a little bit of money and I booked a flight ticket to Australia. I had almost no money and didn't know anyone. I went there on my own and manage to find a job, learn English and live there for about half a year. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

I am a self learner and spend a lot of times on YouTube and online learning platform such a Udemy. I am super curious and always looking to learn something new. But the best way to learn is to meet people !
