About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet interesting people, see cool things, and live life with a mix of adventure and wonder.

ABOUT ME

I'm an engineer and artist (music, writing) and a bit of an entrepenuer. I volunteer for a few local non-profits and cooperatives. Love to travel, see and discover new things and interesting people.

PHILOSOPHY

Go, see, discover, learn, experience! Also, I dig science. That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence. I'll believe anything if shown that it's true. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just starting to figure out couchsurfing. Though I'm somewhat interested in it for potential lodging, I'm mostly interested in trying to find a local to visit with from time to time. I often travel alone. I enjoy that, and it seems there are always people to meet randomly. But a resource like this sounds like a cool thing to try too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, I love music. Nearly all types, but rock is my favorite. I've been a musician all my life, and played in several bands. I also helped start a free music festival in my hometown - which eventually grew to 3 days, 250 bands, and 50,000 attendees. Yep, I really love music.

As for movies, I'm not really a big blockbuster kind of guy - but sometimes that can be fun. I like a good documentary. Shawshank Redemption sucks me in every time.

I don't read as much as I used to. I blame the internet! But I've read a lot of science, philosophy, and I think Mark Twain is just great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once played in a rock band that toured Taiwan. That was crazy fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm trying to learn Spanish, wouldn't mind someone to practice with here or there. What can I teach? Hmmm... maybe a little bit of guitar.
