Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand new to this site. I just heard about it from an athlete who was running in the US Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon! I want to host interesting people who are traveling - and use it to make it possible to see some of the countries and places that I haven't gotten to yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm currently staying with a friend in Eugene, Oregon. I came here to spend 11 days attending the US Olympic Trials for Track and Field. I considered trying to get a hotel room - but everything within 50 miles of Eugene was either TOTALLY BOOKED or was priced at $200 per day!!!

I'm looking forward to couchsurfing through Europe, Kazakhstan, Nepal...and who knows????

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going daypacking at Yosemite National Park and "misjudging" how long it would take to get to the top of Half Dome (and back). Couchsurfing at the top of Half Dome (borrowing a blanket and a pair of sweat pants from some new friends - so I wouldn't quite freeze to death) and watching the forest fires in the valley and a well-timed asteroid shower during a long, long, cold, cold night!!!
