About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting people and seeing the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm an Australian student currently doing a semester of exchange at Bogazici University in Istanbul. I'm hoping to see as much of Eastern Europe and the Middle East as I can while I'm here. I love history, politics, literature etc... but I'm mostly enjoying meeting and befriending people from all different backgrounds.
As a Christian and a bit of a nerd I find it really interesting to talk about religion and politics etc... but my time in Turkey has also meant a growing passion for football.

PHILOSOPHY

Glorify God and love others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I'm new to this community and have only tried couch surfing once, I had a great time. I see it as a great way, as both a host and a traveler, of meeting people who live in, and in turn understand, really different places. I think travelling and meeting people is really important as a way of building understanding and empathy.

I also think eating food is a great way to experience a country... lol. So if you come to visit we'll go get something awesome to eat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

1. Plovdiv, Bulgaria - amazing time!
2. Had Julia sleep on my couch in Istanbul...
3. Amasya hangouts with Ibby and the guys!
4. Greece in Chalkida with Geoffroy and Kalamata with Nancy - both great places.
5. Northern Iraq - totally made my trip staying with Amer
6. Diyabakir Turkey - cool evening hanging with Semih and Col
