About Me

CURRENT MISSION

eating up the miles.

ABOUT ME

I like tall tales, tasty meals, bright colors, pets, wildlife, and of course, travel.

I lived in Kansas my whole life, until I traveled to Ecuador and came down with a serious case of the travel bug. I moved to Seoul, and taught English there for two years and traveled in Asia. Now, I'm looking forward to visiting friends and family in Europe, volunteering in South America, and starting my freelance illustration business.

PHILOSOPHY

delight in small pleasures and big challenges. don't waste time on complaints. lend a helping hand. pay attention.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting CS friends in Seoul for tasty Korean meals; looking forward to actually couchsurfing in Europe, and one day hosting when I don't live in a shoebox.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not picky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a 15,500 foot mountain (Rucu Pichincha in Ecuador), Seen 2 anacondas up close and in person, got my BFA in Design, took a sand bath in Japan, climbed the tallest mountain in Southeast Asia, crashed a scooter in Taiwan, met a shaman, ran marathons

Teach, Learn, Share

well, never go anywhere without ziploc bags or copies of your passport...talk to the locals and don't associate with whiners.
