About Me

My life, quite briefly: I'm a designer who left everything to live in the country as a sheppard, then moved to Tangier and became a teacher.
I love meeting people, learning about them and sharing experiences and laughter. I also like speaking different languages, eating all kinds of food (except for junk)... and music! I also enjoy being silent and praying both alone and with people.
As you can read I'm quite chameleonic and, in the end, maybe I just love to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"Travelling is not about returning with many places seen but to return with new eyes".
That's what Seneca said and I totally agree. I am convinced meeting locals is the best way to travel and "tasting" your trip.

Interests

Everything about social sciences turns me on, specially education and politics, which, to me, are quite linked between them; they both have in common my will to make a better world.
I also like the whole spectrum of arts: from painting and sculpture to theatre or (almost any kind of) music. I also enjoy a lot architecture and urbanism; so, when I arrive to a new city one of the things I like most is to have a vereeery long walk by its streets glaring in every direction!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is rock, but I can enjoy almost any kind of music if it is well done. From classical to techno passing through jazz or funky every space-time-people has a music that fits best.
In terms of cinema I like cinema that makes you think and science-fiction (specially time-travel stuff) like "12 monkeys" or "Donnie Darko" for example. "Beign John Malkovich" is also a nice one. However, as I already said with music, if it is well done I might like it: no matter which kind of film it is.
For books I like novels by classic authors like Dostoievski or (again) Sci-Fi, like Asimov. And of course Harry Potter and Terry Prattchett. I also read essays regarding my socio-political interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from the very south of Spain up to Torino. I love hitchhiking!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to cook some Spanish food like "tortilla" or lentils, a bit of computer stuff like design programmes and Free Open Source Software, or some advices for self-control.
I like to learn... everything!
I can share good vibrations and some guitar playing :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since my living faclities change recursively and I foget to update my whole profile, you may find out what am I able to share at every moment.
However, I'll always be able to share both my room and food. And, depending on my work load, I might show you around at least a little bit ;-)
