About Me
Originally, I am from Southern California (LA area) but recently I have been attending BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. This is where my wife and I met and I couldn't be happier. I just graduated with my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and I'm excited to finally get back in to some of my hobbies. I love any kind of sport from soccer, football, and basketball to rock climbing, hiking, longboarding, and slack-lining. I keep telling myself I'll do some gymnastics at some point although I have terrible flexibility. I really enjoy learning new things so if you want to show me anything I'll probably be in to it and I'd love to teach you one of my hobbies as well. I just recently started learning guitar. I can speak basic conversational Spanish (probably similar to a 4 year old).
One very big part of my life is that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (sometimes called Mormon). I'm well aware that there are a lot of misconceptions about my church so if it's a topic you're interested in, I would be happy to answer any questions on the subject. I'm very open as well, so I would love to hear about any faith or beliefs you have .
I also have to mention that I have a wide array of corny jokes that I will use at any moment with no shame... so be prepared
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Really, I'm just not very well traveled yet. There is a lot about traveling that I just don't know and haven't had the resources to get. I have had some friends that have traveled a lot and all of them have had many unforgettable experiences as I'm sure you have had as well. I am just now getting more of a taste of what it's like and I love it! Couchsurfing is all about everything I love about traveling. I want more than just a place to stay or a chance to give someone a place to stay. I want to hear new ideas that I have never thought of and experience new cultures I have never experienced, and I want to show others my own culture and ideas as well. I don't quite feel a part of this amazing community quite yet but I can't wait to be.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost all kinds of rock. Alternative, indie, classic, pop, folk. I love listening to live acoustic music as well.
I love the avengers movies and dorky comedies like Napoleon Dynamite or Sasquatch gang. It's not a very refined taste I know but it's what I love!
Most recently I have read school textbooks (Computer Chip Design anyone? ), but when I read for fun it's normally fantasy novels (I've been reading the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll cheat and give 2:
Over the period of 2 years that I lived in and around Toronto, Canada I learned how to call myself handsome in over 20 languages just from the people I talked to.
For a recent project at school, a group and I made a laser system to scan across a giant bin (20m long) and determine how full the bin is. It is currently being used at a nearby company
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really excited and open to learning about your family, community, and national culture, and if you would like to learn some of mine I would love to share with you that as well. I'm very open to hearing your thoughts and discussing how we feel about the things we do.
Aside from what I just mentioned, I would love to learn some maintenance skills, cooking skills, and any languages you know.
As far as what I can share, I would be happy to teach you the rules of American football or baseball.
My jokes, here is one of my favorites: why did the toilet paper roll down the hill? To get to the bottom! 🤣🤣
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make a mean bowl of ramen . Also I'm happy to teach what I know of guitar or play some sport with you. I'm happy to leave you alone when you need it, or talk for days.
