About Me

My husband Ben, our boxer pup Ruca, and I have just finished a full year of sailing around the Caribbean, and have settled in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. We live aboard our 38' sailboat, Wanderlust, a 1979 Morgan. Our space is small, but neat and cozy with everything we could possibly need, from a watermaker to solar panels - it is really the ultimate self-sufficient sailing tiny home! Ben and I are lovers of adventures, food, the outdoors, the ocean, and a good party.

We're currently traveling down island and can't host, but plan to be back in Fajardo in early 2017. We'd love to meet new down-to-earth friends, meet up for a beer, a hike, or a beach day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Our crew aboard Wanderlust are hoping to get to know the islands and cities we travel to, and the best way to do so is to meet like-minded locals, adventurers and travelers. We enjoy meeting new people, hearing stories, and introducing folks to the live-aboard lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books

We're reading (and re-reading):
School-Age Classics like "Where the Red Fern Grows," and "To Kill a Mockingbird"
Books to get your thoughts a'churnin' like "Walden," "The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance," and "The Long Way"
DIY and Guide Books Galore! We love sailboat maintenance guides, fishing guides, and boring old navigation guides.

When it comes to the TV:
Good wilderness film, interesting documentaries, comedies and heartfelt dramas can't be beat. However if we're honest, most of our viewing time consists of YouTube channels like "Sailing La Vagabonde, SV Delos, and Sea Chance!"

We're a little out of the loop on music these days. The latest music love discovery on the playlist was been Chris Stapleton, but the go-to classics include the Airborne Toxic Event, The Gaslight Anthem, The Civil Wars, and Brand New. But really, we're open to any music genre from country to raggae, we love it all!
