I'm a 19 year old guy from the heart of former east Germany. I grew up bilingual with an american mother and visited family in the US almost every year growing up.

I'm currently studying mechatronics in Dresden.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried it out with a friend of mine and loved the hospitality and tips you could only get from a local. Seems like a fantastic way to meet people you'd never run into otherwise.

Interests

I've always loved everything that moves, as such I feel it's quite natural I would enjoy driving and skiing.
I enjoy fixing electronics, such as LED lamps, and finding creative ways of solving a problem (oftentimes by adding more solder and hot glue until it works)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most music, especially 80's hits, Folk and Swing.
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy remains my favourite by far. I generally enjoy anything humorous; currently reading the Brief History of Nearly Everything and What if?.
The only genre I can't stand is horror; just about anything else I'll probably enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once nearly hit an Elk driving at night. It was huge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know many useless technical facts, so if you need to know how long a light stays yellow, what the cruising speed of various German trains is or many other technicalities you'll likely never need, ask me.
Aside of that I enjoy a good conversation about just about any topic, but am also perfectly content with sticking to myself.
