Overview
About Me
I study film and I spend most of my time making (and consuming) various kinds of art, going to shows, conferences, fairs, you name it. I'm interested in almost everything and am eager to learn more every day. It's part of why I am on this website and have couchsurfed in the past.
As a sidenote, I have changed my first name since starting to use this site and now go by Quinn!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that this is a great platform for people from all over the world to meet. It's also an incredible way to travel without the stress of having to pay for a place to live, and you get to meet locals who can show you around! I just find the whole thing very convenient for everybody, and it provides us all with unique experiences and the chance to create profound connexions with others.
Interests
I have very scattered interests, and enjoy spending my time reading, writing, watching and talking about films, sewing, painting, playing music, gardening, hiking, thinking, sharing. Also, I am against all systems of oppression (patriarchy, systemic racism, colonialism, speciesism, etc.) and even though I am a pretty laid back person, I will defend my viewpoints firmly if I am confronted to oppressive behaviors. I believe that all forms of domination are interconnected and stand on a common ground that needs to be abolished.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't think that it is possible to narrow down my favorites in these categories, as I keep discovering new art every day. These subjects should definitely be discussed in person!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't like to think of myself as the best person to teach things to others; I myself am currently only trying to learn as much as I can, as fast as I can, and my perception of the world is constantly being challenged by the things that I discover. I am always ready to share what I have learned though, and I love having deep conversations about any and everything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think that the main things I can share with a host are good company, mutual respect and open-mindedness. In my opinion, they're pretty much the essential qualities that you need in order to have a good stay at somebody's home. Also, I can cook good vegan food, patch up your torn clothes and take care of your plants or pets!
