ABOUT ME

I'm an optimist who is always looking for my next adventure. My passion is travel: seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people.
On a day-to-day basis, and when I'm not working, I read, listen to music, and work on projects such as categorizing my personal music collection and tons of photos. I love early morning walks and, oh yeah, I'm an adrenalin junkie :-)

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullest; look for opportunities; be open to anything and everything (at least initially); positive things happen when one is positive; respect all living beings and rocks; keep it moving, you'll feel better; And many other things I can't think of right now!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted Aline and Partrik from Switzerland. When I visited Switzerland, Aline had dinner with my niece and me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In addition to hosting, I had my one and only FABULOUS surfing experience in the jungle in Thailand...can't wait to have more!

Interests

Travel is my #1 interest and is what I save my money and vacation time for. I love an adrenalin rush and have been skydiving, river rafting, hang gliding and scuba diving. Also rode a quad on a wild ride through the Sinai mountains. I like to have a drink or two and dance, dance, dance!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love and listen to ALL types of music. In the movie category, I prefer musicals and documentaries/true stuff. Too many books to list but interest include travel, ecology, and a good bed-time story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one? I'd have to say skydiving.

Teach, Learn, Share

I traveled solo to Egypt for a 12-day vacation. I would have liked to have had a conversation, prior to my trip, with a female who had done the same. I read many blurbs on websites, some helpful, some not, some true, some not. I'd be happy to share my experiences and answer any questions about this trip. I love to learn! Culture and History are on the top of my list.
