About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet new people, to have someone to cook amazing food with and for, to practice my Spanish, and to have fun!
ABOUT ME
Independent, open-minded, caring, generous woman. I live life on my own terms and truly believe that anything is possible! I moved to Whidbey Island winter of 2012, and now I keep a home base there and also spend a lot of time in Seattle, when I'm not on the road.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is about connecting with who we are at the deepest level, and learning to share yourself with people authentically and compassionately.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a few travelers and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with them. I've also just had my inaugural surfing experience in Oakland. My host was so kind and it was a really nurturing experience in a city that can feel anything but... I do love Oakland so far though!

Music, Movies, and Books
Ishmael and the Story of B changed my life.
The Encyclopedia of Country Living my Carla Emery is an indispensable resource.
People seem to think I haven't seen a lot of movies and I don't usually get movie references. I also don't seem to have movie memory... I watch a movie and a few months later I don't remember the plot. I love movies that explore the human condition and relationships in a meaningful way. I loved Eternal Sunshine, Adaptation, 3, Harold and Maude, Limitless, 12 Monkeys. Just to name a few that come to mind immediately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first experience of travel abroad was when I went to Ecuador for an 11-month exchange program. I fell in love with the experience of immersion in a new place and haven't really been able to stay put since! I do like to stay long enough to really get familiar with a place and it's people.
Working on a cruise ship was another amazing life-changing experience where I pushed my own boundaries and learned what I am capable of. Spiritual growth through taking on hardship, all in the middle of a beautiful Baja California setting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy teaching basic cooking skills, and I can also coach knitters on basic skills. I speak Spanish so we can practice together. Would love to practice movement/dance/yoga/bodywork/energywork with you!
My new home is being set up as a healing sanctuary and center for sex-positive culture. If you have something to teach in these areas we can possibly arrange for you to do a class here!
