About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Having quit our jobs, my girlfriend, Hailee (you can find her CS profile here: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/hailee-ann) and I are loaded into our trusty truck Steve and are driving around Australia, doing the backpacker thing.

ABOUT

I've been very fortunate to be able to travel and live overseas as much as I have. After spending a year traveling by bicycle in 2014-2015, I tried my hand at a "professional" 9-5 lifestyle. Hailee and I lasted a year in the corporate world of Silicon Valley, and now we're hitting the road to be vagrants once more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love the way Couchsurfing offers such a unique window onto a community, town or city. It's always the people that make a place.

I have surfed a fair bit through Canada, the United States and Mexico and have had nothing but loads of fun. I lived in an apartment that hosted loads of travellers while living in Bogota, Colombia on a university exchange. In the Bay Area I mainly hosted travelling cyclists through warmshowers.org (find my profile here: https://www.warmshowers.org/user/73440)

Interests

Writing, reading, surfing, cycling, hiking, football (soccer) and travelling in all it's fantastic forms.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode a bicycle from Vancouver, Canada to San Salvador, El Salvador. I didn't make it to Argentina as planned, but this is still the coolest things I've done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to blog for family and friends when I'm travelling. You can read along at quintendo64.com.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Willing and able to help around the house (don't be afraid to ask!), basic bicycle mechanics.
