About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To free my sails and let the world take me where it will.

ABOUT ME

I love those things that are far far away and give me mystery and hope. Nature is a big part of my life and I can never get enough of it. I have a taste for the exotic, the primitive, and the beautiful.
There is really nothing more fascinating or beautiful than the opportunity of a new day.

Dignity, respect, passion, and humour are four essentials I try to embody everyday in my life. My closest friends do the same and for that, I wouldn't trade them for the world.

You can get to know me best by checking out my blog: www.quixoticroad.com

PHILOSOPHY

I have learned that if you look like hell but feel great, you're being a good outdoorsperson. Life for me is not about being stationary and settled. It is about being pushed outside of your comfort level and rising to the occasion to make those situations your new comfort level.

"Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness." ~The Dalai Lama

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had an awesome surfing experience in Iceland, another wonderful time in London, and a few here in the States as well. I've also met some very fun and friendly people through Couch Surfing events in Edinburgh and traveled across New Zealand's South Island with a fellow CSer for a couple weeks. Reaching out to CSers in my local community across various states has led me to some of my best friends.

Interests

Photography, animals of all types, learning the fiddle, getting lost in nature, visiting museums, learning folklore and local culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Had a very expensive and beloved camera roll off a cliff in the Orkney Islands and into the North Sea and still had an awesome day because life goes on.

-I repeatedly stuff everything I own into a car and take off to go live in a new city. It keeps the dreadful routine of a normal life from sneaking up to quietly on me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some bits of dance, take professional portraits of you or your pets. I can attempt to cook for you, but it probably won't be pretty. I am open to learning anything....teach me!
