About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try to make at least one person happy every day;)

ABOUT ME

I'm a cheerful, talkative girl, full of the joie de vivre and very optimistic - I always believe, that everything will be alright;) I'm also a bit scatterbrained and forgetful, but I cope with that somehow;)
I deeply trust, that everything happens because of some mysterious reason, so, even if the situation seems to be hopeless, I'm trying to see any possible advantage of it:)
I like people a lot - for me there are no two same persons - each of us is totally different, and I think it's fantastic, because every time I meet new people, I feel that I'm richer with a new experience:) And I love traveling as much too! Never can stay too long in one place and keep moving, although it's painful too as I leave a piece of my heart in each place I visit...
I'm trying to notice even a small piece of luck in every single thing and I really wish I could make people at least a little happy:)

PHILOSOPHY

"What good is livin' a life you've been given, if all you do is stand in one place..."

"Try to make at least one person happy every day, and then in ten years you may have made three thousand, six hundred and fifty persons happy, or brightened a small town by your contribution to the fund of general enjoyment."

"Happiness is easy"

"I'm unique. Just like everyone else"

"Maybe everything that happens to us has a purpose..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

EXPERIENCE

One of the most wonderful "inventions" ever!!!:D Can't imagine my travels without CS!;)

Interests

I can't do without books, tea, dreaming, movies, mint, music, autumn days, cinnamon, sun, laugh, chocolate, perfumes, memories and people:)
I love travelling, snow, Asian cuisine, all creepy, scary stuff, moving books, movies and songs, smiling, rainy days, wind, wandering in the mountains, oak trees, Ireland and everything related, snowboarding, deep forests, cooking and baking, medieval castles and medieval times in general, talking, thunderstorms, lying in the grass, sailing, ghost stories and everything that's somehow spooky and mysterious, haunted houses;)
I'm really fond of poetry, night-walks, natural remedies, foreign languages - French is my favourite one, but I'm still learning;), theatre, white wine, magick, animals - especially cats, goats and squirrels - and nature in general, art - not only the big one, but, and maybe above all, the small one - especially the decoupage and photography.

And among the stuff I hate are butterflies (yes, butterflies, indeed!:D) and moths, and cocroaches too!:D Hate intrusiveness, fishy smell, cruelty towards the animals and when somebody's abusing my freedom and independence, stupid TV shows - and when people turn on TV in the house just to have it turned on... (what an absurd!!!), staying up until very late - and waking up later than 8:00!:D

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading and I'm crazy about books! Bookshops are my favourite stores!:D as they say - there's no such thing as too many books, there's only too little space!;) (my sister says one day I'll die crushed by the avalanche of my books ;D)
My favourite are: "The shadow of the wind" by Carlos R. Zafón, "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, "The five people we meet in heaven" by Mitch Albom, "The shack" by William P. Young, "The life before us" by Emile Ajar, Martha Grimes's, Dolores Redondo's and Agatha Christie's criminal novels, some English classics like my beloved Jane Austen's and some Polish writers, like Olga Tokarczuk and Małgorzata Musierowicz.
I like poetry too:)
Can't imagine my life without music - my sister laughs, that I'm addicted, and maybe she's right:D Music is with me almost everywhere!:) I like indie most, also folk, neo-medieval, alternative and just love Irish music! Have a looot of favourite bands - my biggest love is Lord Huron, but there are maaaany more, such as The Shins, Bleachers, The Tallest Man on Earth, Kodaline, Hozier, L.P., Cults, Family of the Year, The Head and the Heart, The Lumineers, U2, Coldplay, Keane, Lana del Rey, Miles Kane, The Raveonettes, The Vaccines, Camera Obscura, Oasis, The Killers, Ryan Adams, Sigur Rós, Travis, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Band of Horses, Mike Oldfield, Glasvegas, Bruce Springsteen, The High Kings, Michael Buble, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Imagine Dragons, Florence + The Machine, Of Monsters and Men, Ellie Goulding, James Blunt, Crystal Fighters, Mumford and Sons, King Charles, The War on Drugs, Lykke Li, Kensington, Magnetic Fields, Bastille, Vance Joy, Haerts, Fast Romantics, The Strumbellas, Borns, Loreena McKennit, Palma Violets, Dropkick Murphys and maaaany many more, but I love discovering new music all the time!:))
Movies have always been one of my favourite kinds of pastime, and I've used to watch a lot (movies, not tv!;) now it's not that easy as I'm definitely the morning person and in the evenings I'm often useless when it comes to watching movies!:) I love French comedies, animations, thrillers and psychological movies, also all weird ones!:D Allen's, Anderson's, Almodovar's, Burton's and Dolan's ones. Sometimes I like horror movies too, unless they're very stupid:D (Only when watching with somebody else though, as I get scared easily;) There are plenty of films I really like, but among the ones, I'll never forget, are, i.e.: "Far Away From The Madding Crowd", "Honig im Kopf", "A Walk in the Woods", "Stoker", "Les Amours Imaginaires", "Serce Serduszko", "The Book of Life", "Tetro", "The Illusionist", "Love Actually", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", "Big Fish", "Milou en Mai", "Tideland", "Burn after Reading", "Jasminum", "Bacheha-Ye aseman", "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain", "Ah-ga-ssi", "Se Dio Vuole", "A Man Called Ove", "Winter's Tale", "Beasts of the Southern Wild", "Volver"...
