CURRENT MISSION

I am going to explore the world and learn about how every culture has influenced eachother all while learning about myself and meeting new people.

ABOUT ME

I'm 21 and am more than halfway through college, scary, with a major of Theatre Performance and Creation. I really want to trace the lineage of theatre. See how one culture has influenced another and then how that one influenced the next and so on. I'm pretty laid back. I have a huge collection of movies and love to watch movies with friends. I enjoy video games, love my Xbox 360 and PS3, music of all sorts. With a mother who used to perform in the orchestra I ended up inheriting a love of classical music but I honestly love all music. I enjoy having a beer on occasion and don't smoke, tobacco, but don't mind if you do. I'm pretty goofy. I can act childish but I think of it more as youthful. By that I mean I enjoy lifes little pleasures and don't feel that we should lose that childish sense of wonderment as we get older. I like to think about things deeply and try to discuss them with others.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that we are all here to figure out whatever it is we need to figure out. Life hands us shit sometimes but I believe it's all to lead us to where we need to be. I'm not religious but I can see the appeal to others and only seek to learn from others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can only offer myself as a a person. I would be more than willing to offer up a couch if I had one but for now I can only offer conversation and myself as a surfer and someone to meet up in my home town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not a CouchSurfing experience but my most memorable experience I can think of right now is on my 12th birthday I met Robin Williams and he signed my program I got from seeing him perform stand up comedy at Madison Square Garden in NYC. I remember, right before he got on his tour bus, he turned and said, "Good bye Quintin, happy birthday." Best moment ever. He's always been a hero of mine.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Way too many to list but here's a summary.

Movies: Comedies-I really like dark comedies, Action-not stupid action but action with a purpose, all sorts of stuff. Just like with theatre, I like something that makes me question the very nature of the medium it is presented in.

Music: Random bands, I like bands that are small and obscure, I'm not a hipster haha but I do like their music.

Books: I like graphic novels if that counts. Favorite books include Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mockingbird.
