About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live life and to enjoy it the way it was meant to be lived

ABOUT ME

An Albanian-American exchange student currently living in Germany for the semester (I'm here until August). I love traveling, sipping on a nice coffee while reading a good book, or drinking tea while having passionate discussions about politics and world affairs.

PHILOSOPHY

There is always someone worse off than you.
It's a quote that I heard somewhere and I always think of it whenever I'm feeling like things are going bad. I always think about how lucky I am to have what I have and that life can be so much worse. So now worries, be happy ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting other people as much as I can, so that we can bridge all these gaps that exist between cultures, religions, and every other human label you can think of.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am completely new so no experience yet, although hoping that changes soon!

Interests

Languages, politics, people, theater especially is like a drug for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Spring Flowers, Spring Frost" by Ismail Kadare
"Il bambino con il pigiama a righe" by John Boyne
"Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown (I've read all of his books, but that one's the best out of all of them)

I love international music. My ipod probably has about 12 different languages on it, maybe more. Balkan music is great but I also enjoy latin, jazz, anything with a good beat or good text.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching English at a school in Albania (going to happen this summer)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the different things I've seen/lived in my life have helped me see things in a different perspective. I've seen war in the former Yugoslavia, yet I've also seen many great things in life as well. I can see things through different people's perspectives and think it's a good quality to have because less conflicts that way :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
