About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sharing the good of this world with those I can.

ABOUT ME

I love the world around me. Yet there is not enough time to learn or absorb it all. So I can only pass a little to my friends.

PHILOSOPHY

"Good, Better, Best. Never, never rest. Till your good is better, and your better best!" You can learn something every day, just pay attention. If its good today, one can enjoy again tomorrow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On a typical sunny caribbean afternoon my wife's and my attention was caught by a couple whom in very good spanish yet with a thick hint of german accent were asking for directions to a local cementery of previous distinguished members of my hometown,Ponce. Not being the usual tourist trap quest, we took them them there and invited them for dinner at home that same night. They were a husband/wife couple of teachers from Vienna. On sabbatical leave for a year and tramping the Antilles southward on a shoestring budget. That night we picked them up, gave them a car tour of the town and then home for a really fascinating evening of persons talking and exchanging views on anything and everything while enjoying the cool mountain breeze as we gazed at the town beneath the veranda. My father 80y.o. at the time was so entuned with them he even recited an old german poem he still remembered. My daughter whom at that time only about 13 y.o. asked us if we had met this couple before that day. No, I said, but its as if we had known them for a long time.
