CURRENT MISSION

Hi, I’m Steve. I am U.S Army combat veteran at 101st Airborne Division with two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I work here for 7 years.

I m Open minded, spontaneous, curious. Always looking for the beautiful things in life. I love travel when my time/schedule are available. I love to broaden my travel friends. I can be quite busy though, so sometimes that isn't in the mix.

I love travel and explore the world and I'm very welcome friends from around the world to visit and share travel experiences. I belief friendship could occur worldwide. I'm pleased to host friends from couchsurfing. I love to talk and exchange travelling experience with them. I think couchsurfing is the greatest tool for traveling and travellers. I love trips alone but sometimes with friends and family. I like to be spontaneous and go on cool trips. I love to learn native way of living, culture, food, people and window shopping.

I love meeting people and learning about different perspectives and ways of being- hosting is a great way to do this. Travelling is a great joy for me and its always so much better to stay with people who live there. I value community very highly, especially the ability to share, trust, and have a network that crosses language, nationality, and other barriers.

I started using this website as a way to save money while traveling. It's evolved into so much more. I love when I click with a surfer and we become instant friends, if only for an afternoon.

I highly recommend couchsurfing to anyone who wants to learn more about what a place is REALLY like, how to avoid tourist traps, and what is worth seeing, tasting, exploring, etc. People are often skeptical when I tell them I do couchsurfing, so I'd love more people to try it out and realize the world's not such a scary place.
