About Me
Hola! I'm yours Ruslan, truly believing that Couchserfing is about meeting great people, having good time together and supporting the spirit of humanity and kindness across all nations.
I host people as well as surf myself, in both ways I'll appreciate if you skim through my profile and see what we might have in common. Cheers!
CURRENT MISSION
Use all the best and honest opportunities to explore the world, develop myself, learn from and share ideas and quality moments with great people!
ABOUT ME
Hello dear reader, I hope you are having a great experience with Couchsurfing!
I'm an extrovert, an easy-going and adventurous person. I really enjoy coming out of my comfort zone (taking my friends out of theirs) and seeing the world. Couchsurfing and hitch-hiking help to do both of these things!
I'm not afraid to take the responsibility and consider myself a good man :)
PHILOSOPHY
I never worry. I think I can be excited, but not worried, only unless the health or lives of my relatives and friends are in danger. Other than that - I'm never worried about small little things that life brings over almost every day.
I'm not an optimist, I'm rather not getting pessimistic.
So I want to use all the opportunities given to succeed in enjoying the life, not to regret in the future that I lost my chance, didn't take risk or just was afraid of anything. My highly moral principles are the basis for me to choose what, where and who I am. Just like regular bla bla bla :)
It seems like I am the extrovert person with predisposition to meeting great people. Modern world gives us incredible possibilities, so let's use them!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in Berlin right now and usually host lots of my friends who are coming to see the city and have a great time! If you've heard something about Berlin, than you know that you don't need to know German to live a good life here, which is partially bad(because you can't learn the language), but it's great because the city is so multi-culti. In result, I indeed have close friends from all over the world :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed in Berlin for a couple of days four years ago and had a great experience with Lars, two guys from Mexico, a Lithuanian guy and a girl from Hungary!
In autumn 2014 I met an amazing guy Boris in Paris!
And later in November I hosted an extremely interesting, well-read and guitar-talented Dough from USA.
April 2015 - hosted two amazing Ukrainian students that live and study in Poland.
Add many many friends whom I host almost every month, making my place a hostel where you pay with quality time and talks.
Interests
I find myself in doing a great variety of things. Some of them are: guitar, vocals, foreign languages, travelling, astronomy, any type of games, jogging, cycling, star wars, food testing, self-education, sports, music, intellectual game "What? Where? When?" and whatever the world offers me to do and keeps me intellectually stimulated :)
I became obsessed with cycling and now participate in a project called BikeSurf Berlin, which resembles Couchserfing idea of trust and sharing! If you have a moment - check this wonderful idea and support, if you find it truly amazing :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I give my preference to sci-fi, french comedies and documentaries about space!
I love music.
I like to listen to everything, especially all that can be played on guitar (any type of guitar: I also play ukulele and have it here in Berlin), and I think all can be played on guitar, wanna argue about it?
After living in Berlin for two years, I have inhaled the love to some good techno and deep house, yet d'n'b and chill-out/lounge electronic music stay firmly in my playlists.
I have my own music project as well, but have nothing to show to you guys, yet ;)
I was this kind of a stupid kid who didn't like reading. That's why I think I still read passionately and completely diving into the book unless I really have to do something else. Now I mostly go through some business related books, a bit of psychology, a bit of everything an educated person should be aware of. Even though, I will remain an eternal classic sci-fi fan. Russian classic poetry is something I am always up to!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- I've walked 55 kilometers in one day, that was not easy, but I really enjoyed it (moreover, it is one more story to tell)
- Hitch-hiking from Berlin to Paris in less than 14 hours in one day! The way back wasn't that lucky, we had to stay overnight at a gas station.
- I was lost in NYC at 3am because I didn't get to my bus since they oversold tickets! I would expect this to happen to me anywhere BUT in the US
- I think that the most amazing thing all people have is above their heads! I love the sky, especially with the Mylki Way and stars in the evening somewhere outside of the city! Top counted falling starts per night - 48.
- I used to be a scout and when I was late for my train I packed a really huge scout's backpack (hope you can imagine what it is) in 15 minutes without forgetting a thing! The other story is how I cought that train :D
