ABOUT ME

I like meeting people from all over the world, and learn about different cultures and view points. I am not dogmatic but like lively debate on issues and can get a bit passionate about things I believe in. I love nature and conservation of it. I am a firm believer in the right to have an opinion different from mine. I am fairly easygoing in my relation with people and am told i am easy to get along with. I have a drawback that I become very quiet and withdrawn at times, but be assured it isnt you its my nature to become introspective at times especially when I am moved by things I see.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy can be explained in a nutshell in the word "Respect". I respect your right to be you and different from me in your ideas and lifestyle as long as you reciprocrate that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am fairly new to this but I would like to become more active in particiaption.Especially in sphere's of learning more about people and places and also in Couchsurfing's activities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted some ten people now mainly from Europe, I am truly enjoying the experience and I haven't had a single bad experience.As McDonald's puts it : " I am loveeeeng it"

Interests

Travelling, Reading, Music, chatting with people , learning new things. I run a Chatroom on the internet too which I enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Any movie with a lot of special effects. The Ring trilogy.Matrix.Old Movies like Roman Holiday.

Authors : Old Masters, Asimov, Arthur.C.Clarke, Hawkings, Graham Greene, Mark Twain, why don't you write a book? i'll read it .....once.
Books: Literally anything, I have been known to read newspaper wrappings honest.

Type of Music: Indian Classical, Country&Western, Blues, Jazz, and most music.
Bands / Artists: Harry Belafonte is a favourite, Randy Travis , Celine Dion, Pat Boone , Trini Lopez, and Pandit Ravishankar in Indian Classical Instrumental. Bhimsen joshi in Vocal, Asha Bhonsle , KishoreKumar, Too many to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done is very recent ... I was in Andaman islands and snorkelled for hours ... the undersea world amazed me. I recently Visited the the Annengondi , Kishkinda and Hampi region of Karnataka , India and was awed and humbled by the history and architecture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good with general knowledge about how things work, Indian history, Culture and Nature Conservation and can spend time telling people about these.
Learning is something I do all the time .. I'm game to learn anything.
I have travelled fairly extensively in India and can share my experiences on this and conservation issues.
