ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Kesha. I grew up in the Bahamas then moved to the US in high school. Now, I'm working on my masters at a Swedish uni and oh so looking forward to entering the work world after graduation and having a place for CouchSurfers to come and stay again! Oh yeah, I'm all about giving back too.I am very easy-going. I enjoy simple things, walks, parks, reading, chilling etc. I can be pretty ambitious and love learning new things (all the time!) and listening to other people talk (always a learning opportunity). My goal right now is trying to funnel my energies in one direction for a sustained period of time (vague, yes, I know).I'm currently in Nassau for the first time in 12 years and looking to
meet up with new people and get reaquainted with the island all over
again.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others how you would want to be treated. I want to be a help to others in anyway that I can. I am baffled sometimes by how badly we people can sometimes treat each other sometimes and I want to personally do better not to add.

I also want to learn as much as I can about how different people and places around the world function and live. I want to be able to learn from others and new places and broaden. If we can learn from each other that is great.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a CouchSurfer once when I lived in Japan and I enjoyed the experience. I have not surfed myself yet but I look forward to it. I'm interested in the cultural exchange and meeting people from all over. When I hosted it was a great opportunity and I enjoyed it a bunch. We went many places and did a lot together.

I enjoy so many things but best of all is the company of family and friends (whether new or old). ^_^ and that's the truth. Traveling is great but its the people that make things so interesting.

An evening of walking and talking could be quite enjoyable with people I enjoy. I must say that I am not a big party person but I do enjoy going out.

In addition to the company of others, I enjoy studying Japanese. Yes, studying is one of my hobbies at the moment, lol. I love Japanese culture and language and enjoyed my time living there.

I like all sorts of music. I am listening to alot of Japanese stuff to help with language proficiency, as well as reading Japanese books etc. ^_^

Two little toddlers negotiating and making friends with each other. Little kids can be so interesting.

One or two items that I might be able to share... I'm quite not sure. I do enjoy learning languages and about different cultures, perhaps I can share the knowledge that I know and learn something from others.
