Overview
About Me
I've lived in Seoul since 1984, so it's natural that I've been to various places in this city. But I don't know many things about other countries because I have little experience of traveling across the sea; in March this year, I visited Hong Kong, and it was the first time for me to go abroad! Though I can't offer many information about other nations, I may provide sufficient knowledge of how local people enjoy city life here :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Today Seoul is called a global city. Nevertheless, lots of foreign tourists still have difficulties doing something in this big city because many of them don't have appropriate proficiency in Korean. So, I'd like to translate my first language into English or give several useful tips for the international visitors traveling to Seoul. In addition, I think it must be great to get some opportunities to communicate with people from diverse cultures. In fact, I hadn't known how to contact them, but recently one of my friends recommended this website to me, so I could join here! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I was born in 1984. During the 80's and early 90's, films produced in Hong Kong were very popular in South Korea. I think I might be influenced by the phenomenon a lot. When I was an elementary school student, I spent much time watching Hong Kong movies such as Chungking Express (1994), Fallen Angels (1995), and Police Story series starring Jackie Chan. Also, Michelle Yeoh's Yes, Madam (1985) motivated me to have an interest in martial arts skills. Besides those four, there were numerous films and filmmakers in the golden age of Hong Kong cinema, but especially I was a big fan of director Wong Kar-wai and still appreciate his works.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some people may feel they should write in this section the most outstanding achievement worthy to get a standing ovation. Hmm... Thus, I'll also unveil the greatest thing I've done! Of course this accomplishment deserves to be applauded... Most ordinary people can't even dare to do that... You must be proud to be friends with me... Anyway, be careful not to be shocked or faint after reading my story.
It happened about three months ago. A record-breaking heatwave was gripping this peninsula in the summer of 2018. When the weather finally became hotter than hell, I decided to go to Sokcho (a city located in the northeast part of Gangwon-do) to escape the severe heat and departed soon after. As I arrived at the city, I hurried to check in a hotel because I was eager to carry out an awesome plan. Two days later, I successfully managed to finish what I had planned, so I could leave the place with a satisfied smile. Guess what I did during the period!
I did nothing as if I were an extremely lazy sloth (this weird animal is well known for slowness of movement); I just spent 48 hours staying in a bathtub or on a bed. Since I'd vacantly been looking out of a window for hours, I might look like a person who had no brain. How great! How great I am! Next time, it'll be much better to try sleeping for two days! (But what if someone else reports to the police that a woman doesn't move in a hotel room?!)
