Overview
About Me
I am Rabsimar, from India, and currently living in the Netherlands. Im in the first year of my masters degree in gender studies. Before coming here, i was working with a UN organization in research and project management.
Apart from a researcher, i am also a poet and a theatre artist. I love to travel, be in nature, write poetry with people, read, meet new people and learn about all the many beautiful things that new cultures and places offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im in Europe for another year and a half and want to make the most of my time here. Nature inspires me and meeting people grounds me. I not only want to immerse myself in new cultures but also want to explore a place in the most authentic way which I believe is not possible if you visit as a tourist. And i just absolutely love meeting new people :)

Rock and alternate rock. Would kill and die to see the classics once - Led Zeppelin, nirvana, pink floyd. Also into tools and radiohead.
Big fan of fiction and women writers. Currently reading Ocean Vyong and Sally Rooney
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Received a fully funded scholarship to study in Europe for two years and they only take one student per country so kinda proud of that since im from India and as you may know we are known for the sheer number of people we have haha

What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking but more than that i love cooking for people. So if i ever have the honor to visit you, rest assured, you can count on me for some indian food, spoken poetry nights and with some chill rock music in the background.
I am also into theatre and love to meet new people to understand and explore new art, music, books with them!
And needless to say, mine and all my friends’ homes back in India will always be open to you if you ever plan to visit :)
