I'm passionate about sustainability and conservation. I'm a crazy bird nerd, who loves talking about everything biology. I also love surfing, hiking, climbing, camping, craft beer, vegan cooking, and live music. I also love art. I'm an amateur at making it (photography) but really good at appreciating it (modern art)! We've got two rambunctious kiddos, Beatrix (2) and Sully (6).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can I have top 3? Camped on an active volcano in the Aleutian Islands for 2.5 months, with only 3 other people, camp gear, food, and 1 million seabirds. Spent Christmas with Adelie penguins in Antarctica. Radio tracked elephants in South Africa.
