I'm 24 traveling with my awesome dog named Fox. I am from Michigan, spent 3 years living in Brooklyn, NY and am now on a 5 month long road trip sitting down with and learning from professionals working in social services. This trip began when I left NY, 3 months ago and founded a non-for-profit, The Pit Bull Project. I believe that the best way to learn is by doing so this started a quest to meet with advocates around the US and learn what I can do to help.

I'm an animal lover, outdoors fanatic, interested in hikes, water sports and anything else that keeps me outside. A good day for me has me up to see the sun rise followed up by a run, lots of hiking and exploring and not inside until I see the sunset somewhere magical. I am also a HUGE foodie, I believe that it brings people together in a wonderfully intimate way. Music is my other love, if I can find live music, especially jazz or rock, I'm a very happy girl. :)

I am currently on a 5 month long roadtrip with my dog, traveling to 27 states and for my film, "Sitting Down & Speaking up", featuring animal interest groups and advocates for "Pit Bull" type dogs.

Beyond that, I am new to this community but have fallen in love with the people and culture it has brought to my trip. I am very outgoing and love to meet new people, hear about their life and experiences and share thoughts and stories over good food...seeing a trend here? ; )

I grew up in a home with an open door policy and , once I have settled I would love to host travelers like myself!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking up a volcano in a blizzard in Flagstaff AZ. Rescuing my dog, Fox. Being brave enough to quit my job and venture out on my own for 5 months on the road. Opening my tent to other travelers I have met along the way. Exploring caves along the shores of Southern California. Burning Man. Traveled around Europe. Saw the re-election of the Pope and the first time a Pope resigned while I was living in Rome.
