Overview
About Me
Thank you. To ALL the people. You are amazing, and I'm humbled by the experiences I've had in the last 6+ years on the road. So grateful to be a part of this community and share a slice of life with you all. What an amazing ride it's been!
Apologies to those looking for a bed... I don't have a house at the moment, but I'm really looking forward to hosting when I have a room to share again!
So, about me... what to say? I'm laid back, progressive, respectful, and eager for adventure and new experiences.
I love what traveling has to offer--meeting new people, exploring new (and old) places, discovering beauty in unexpected situations, experiencing culture shock, and learning about the world, and through it, yourself.
Professionally, I have been a college administrator, voiceover actor, massage therapist, and bartender. Currently long-term volunteering in Greece, collaborating with people from all over the world, drinking coffee and getting Greek lessons with the local grandmothers, avoiding sea urchins and swimming with dolphins, foraging for figs, mulberries, caper berries, and all the other local goodness, and exploring the backroads on my Honda GLX. Life is good.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's pretty simple. It's people helping people. It's an exchange of goodwill and a sharing of experiences. It's a sense of community. I've found it very rewarding to be a part of all of that.
Interests
Meditating, hiking, concerts, traveling, art, dogs, biking, bonfires, yoga, gardening, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. Daydreaming about mushroom farming. Rock collecting along the shore.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big 80s fan (movies and music). Love live music & have traveled across the country (and now world!) to follow my favorite bands. Always a great experience, and have met several good friends that way. These lists could go on for days, but here are a few favorites.
Movies: Back to the Future, Lost in Translation, Antonia's Line, The Fall, Return to Oz, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Sneakers, All of Me
Music: Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Split Lip Rayfield, Dexter Gordon, Big Black Delta, Pixies, Andrew Bird...
Books: Vonnegut, Yogananda, Hesse, Robbins, Myrivilis...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Miraculously caught my flight back home for Christmas by:
1. waking up at 4:00a, even though my alarm didn't go off
2. setting out on foot after not being able to call a taxi
3. walking more than the entire length of an Italian city alone in the dark, along highways, though industrial parks, and past patrons spilling out of bars that were finally calling it a night...
It may not seem like much of a feat, but I'm still amazed at how well it worked out... Sometimes the universe gives you exactly what you need.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Dutch, German, Greek, meditation, what to do with surplus garden veg, or how to propagate African Violets. I'm up for learning whatever you might have to teach.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Bad jokes, beer, and a mountain of appreciation. I'm a very easy going and accommodating person, and I feel most at home when I have a job to do (sous-cheffing, dog walking, helping you take over the world, etc.)... seriously. PLEASE LET ME DO YOUR DISHES :))))
