Love life. I enjoy Acroyoga, talking while walking/ jogging/ running, travel, and listening to books on audible.

ABOUT ME

My husband Christian and I renovated our house in Carmichael and have two dogs that I enjoy taking for walks, runs and adventure hikes. I enjoy traveling. I work to empower State and local governments to reduce their flood risk in CA, UT, WY and CO. Work sent me the Europe every 6 months for 3 years when I was leading the writing of the International Levee Handbook Operations and Maintenance Chapter. I also went to Huston, TX to help in the aftermath of Hurricane IKE.

I also like to travel for fun. Recent trips include volunteering to teach English in Thailand, backpacking and hiking in Costa Rica, Hawaii. On recent trips to Europe I went to Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, explored the German countryside on bike, and spend the last few nights in Paris.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoy couch surfing. I had my first experiences in Europe in May 2010 and they were both wonderful! I am inspired by this site. Since then I have hosted some incredible folks and really enjoy the idea of couch surfing.

Books: The Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B (and the series - historical fiction written at the diary of Napoleon's wife, based on fact and years of research)

Music: Anything I can sing along to. "Perfect Pitch" Pandora is my favorite. I also enjoy Country and Latin Pop.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Before I came back to be closer to my family I was in El Salvador teaching Geometry for 2 1/2 years and I loved the countryside and the people there. I have "cruised" down the amazon river, danced tango in the Boca, Buenos Aires, and volunteered at a center for handicapped people in Rennes, France. I lived in Dijon, France for 4 months while I was in undergrad.
